Description: This video gives a slightly different view to an AC/DC concert. This one has the band playing Thunderstruck, live in Toronto on July 30, 2003. This is taken from a pro-shot recording, and has the director of the film crew shouting out orders as to which camera angle he wants viewed a that moment. It comes across as very hectic, and shows you how much effort goes into shooting a concert like that. I personally had no idea it was like that, so I learned a lot from this one video. It is a bit hard to hear the band, but still comes across as a pretty good video. There are a few shots of boobs in the crowd, so just a warning as to who you watch this in front of. You can actually hear the director being warned not to take the boobies right at the end of the video.

Man, this thing is awesome, it's the same video, but somehow with the director's monitor mixed right into it. Awesome. And as we all love, some chick's bells, on film.
I think it's like this on the official DVD as well... |

Wow, great idea for this month's video! Respect to the director, he's really into it and does a great job, it demonstrates how much effort goes into it. If he did that for the whole gig the poor guy must have been trashed afterwards! Presumably these were the shots being beamed on the big screens, hence the need for live editing. Perhaps then, the references to girls' bells (that pair at the end were quality!!) were with a view to the film being made available later? The film is great and the performance solid; Brian sounds better where he changed the melody to lower notes, rather than trying, but not reaching, the highest ones. It's a tune which inevitably isn't as powerful as back in the early 90's, but is still damn good. Note: you can manually rebalance the music v. the director as the latter seems all left channel with the music on the right. Thanks for posting, this is really cool! |
