Description: I was talking with a long time friend the other day and he asked about any rehearsals I had. I couldn't think of any at the moment, but he brought up these vids taken from the VH1 broadcast in July of 1996. The rehearsal vids feature the band playing through different riffs & songs, and even jamming on a couple blues tunes. This vid is Go Down, a song rarely played since the Bon era. It comes across very well, but it's definitely a rehearsal as the sound levels drop off here and there, and Brian is reading the lyrics from a piece of paper. Still worth checking it out though. Another clip from these rehearsals will be released in the upcoming box set 'Plug Me In'. Gone Shootin' will be included in the set and is definitely a great video to watch. If it wasn't going to be released officially, I would have put it up here in place of Go Down. Anyways, enjoy!

i have the vh1 concert video, and the 'Uncoverd' audio boots of there rehearsals,, i even have there lil Superstitious warm up on video (i posted that one up on youtube sn: sk8acdc1) n i though i had it all from this 'venue'
but now that i know theres video of the rehearsals, i would do ANYTHING to get ahold of them

| An interesting clip, really cool. It's funny to see them gathered round rehearsing, and there's a fair few mistakes in the arrangement here and there! Brian shuffles around in a rather amusing and peculiar way, but he sings this with style. Around this time his voice was pretty raw and beat-up, but that really suited the Bon-era songs. Riff Raff from these VH1 sessions sounded particularly good, like the 70's all over again. Nice one! |
